Sunday Writer is a personal blog of short stories. It collects the minimum amount of data needed to work. Nothing is sold, and nothing is passed to advertisers.

What is collected
Newsletter
If you subscribe to new stories, your email address is stored — nothing else. Subscription uses double opt-in: you receive an email with a confirmation link, and until you click it your address is not added to the list.
The newsletter is handled by the MailPoet plugin and sent through its delivery service. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. Once you unsubscribe, your address is removed from the list.
Comments
When you leave a comment, the name and email address you enter are stored, along with your IP address and browser user agent. The last two are used to tell people apart from spam bots.
Comments are checked by Akismet and Antispam Bee. Akismet sends comment content to Automattic’s servers for checking.
Visitor statistics
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a statistics service that does not use cookies. It stores no personal data, does not track you across websites, and does not build a profile of you.
Only aggregate information is collected: how often a page was opened, which site a visitor arrived from, country, and device type. It is not possible to identify an individual from this data.
Google Analytics, advertising pixels and trackers are not used on this site.
Spam and security protection
Forms on this site are protected by Google reCAPTCHA and WPBruiser. Google may receive information about your device and your behaviour on the page; this is covered by Google’s own privacy policy.
The Wordfence plugin records IP addresses during suspicious activity in order to block intrusion attempts.
Cookies
- Language cookie (Polylang) — remembers which language you are reading in.
- Comment cookies (WordPress) — pre-fill your name and email if you comment again.
- Technical cookies (LiteSpeed Cache) — speed up page loading.
There are no advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
Server logs
The hosting provider keeps standard access logs: IP address, time of request, page requested. This is ordinary practice for any website.
How long data is kept
- Subscriber addresses — for as long as you are subscribed. Removed when you unsubscribe.
- Comments and their associated data — until you ask for them to be deleted.
- Cloudflare statistics — aggregate only, not linked to any individual.
- Server logs — according to the hosting provider’s policy.
Your rights
You have the right to obtain a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Changes
If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top of the page.
